Bloomsburg Christian Church, Bloomsburg PA

Dear Father,

The men and women You call into ministry are busy. They have work to do, to keep in close relationship with You, to build ministries, and to shepherd the people You have put under their care.

Father, I lift up the entire pastoral community today. I ask that You strengthen the faith and the joy of pastors in cities across America who may be discouraged today. I also pray that You afford them as many opportunities as possible to communicate the lessons You have taught them.

This all comes to mind after visiting the website of Bloomsburg Christian Church, Bloomsburg PA. I see the dedication to blogging by Pastor Eric Miller. I ask for Your blessings on his blogging and that lives will be touched by it.

We want to be the catalyst to revival becoming reality. We see revival becoming reality in our personal lives, our prayer lives, our families, our kids, our churches, our neighbors, our coworkers, our schools, our side of the country and our entire nation. We see prayer the all-consuming passion of God’s people, a vertical dependence that fuels every horizontal activity. We see the power of God’s Word on full display in transformed lives. We see people fired up to enter into God’s manifest presence every time they gather to worship. We see people who believe they are the hands and feet of Jesus on this earth, who believe the gospel is a message to be communicated and lived out. We see revival.

I am astonished how many churches publish text on their websites that compliments that vision. Victory Church of Lancaster PA is another example. Their four values, according to their website, include:

Father, Jesus Christ is relevant to every life. Testimonies confirm that. Everyone has purpose. Testimonies confirm that. You deserve our best, meaning we are not to hide the story You have authored in our lives. Grace wins. The grace of Christ overcomes whatever adversity we experience as humans.

I thank You for the opportunity to get to know Terri Enright of ESORM. I thank You for their vision to empower the people of Liberia through education, changing the life of those who have no hope. What a great purpose and desire to honor and serve You!

I pray for blessings on their ministry. I pray for blessings on their fundraiser in April. I pray for blessings on their June trip to Liberia, that it will accomplish Your purposes and bless all those who participate. I pray for safety for them as they travel and work in the country. Let me know if it is Your will to join them one year as I find myself eager to serve in Africa.
